SmartGrid-enabled e-charging infrastructure for rural areas
The expected rapid expansion of e-mobility poses great challenges for rural communities. In particular, the question arises of how the necessary charging infrastructure can be set up intelligently with a high level of acceptance . Getting individuals with a low involvement in environmental protection to perform sustainable behavior can be challenging. In our sustainability study we investigated the effects of social norms on the intention for sustainable behavior. We conducted two studies, one within a university context (N=606 university members) and one within a sustainable technology project (N=101 consumers). The findings from both studies revealed that social norms had stronger effects on people with a low intention to be involved in environmental protection. Click here to access the full article.
